How to Enable Dark Mode on All Your Devices

If you enjoy everything in a dark color in your life, the Dark Mode is an ideal color theme to use in your devices. This mode enhances the battery life of devices as well as makes it safe and more comfortable for your eyes. Various favorite apps of yours such as Twitter, Google Chrome, and Slack already allows you to use the dark mode. But, it is not available on all the apps and operating systems yet. Let’s have a look at the platforms where the dark mode is available till now.
Windows
Switching to the dark mode is possible in Windows 10. Though, Microsoft supports this feature with only default apps that come pre-installed with Windows 10 on your desktop or laptop. If you desire to activate dark mode on your system, go to the system’s settings and then the Personalization menu available over there. Now, click on the Colors option present on the screen, and just below App Mode, you will see the option to turn on dark mode. Select the option to enable the dark mode successfully.
Mac
Apple has provided this feature in the recent macOS Mojave. And, the process to enable the dark mode in macOS is pretty simple. You have to go to the upper left corner of your screen and click the small Apple logo present over there. Now choose System Preferences, and then click on the General button. In the Appearance section, select the Dark option to enable the Dark Mode on your Mac. However, you also need to allow the dark mode separately in the apps that are automatically installed with the macOS.
Android
The Dark Mode is not available on all Android devices, but it can be used in Android phones that run on the Android 9 Pie OS. To use the dark mode feature on Android, you need to enable Developer options first. Go to Settings, and then open About phone. You will see the Build number option present at the bottom of your screen. Tap on it for seven times to get the access. Now find the Developer options in Settings by going to System then Advanced and then Developer options. If you scroll down till the bottom of the screen, you will see the Night Mode option. Select it and choose either Automatic or Always on option.
You can directly enable Dark Mode in Pixel device and Samsung Smartphone with One UI update. Both have different ways to enable the mode. Follow these steps to achieve Night mode in Pixel and Samsung phones:
1. Open your phone and go the Settings app.
2. Then, select Display and toggle the Night Mode switch if you use a Samsung phone with the latest One UI update or move ahead to Advanced section if you use the Pixel Phone with recent software.
3. After visiting the Advanced section in your Pixel, go to the bottom of the screen and find Device Theme. From there, enable the Dark mode in the Pixel Smartphone.
iPhone
iOS doesn’t offer the dark mode feature at all but can use an ideal alternative in your iPhone. There is a color inverter option available in iOS 12 that allows you to use the effect entirely. This option will enable dark mode in the pre-installed iOS apps as well as the apps that support the dark mode setting such as YouTube, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, and more. Enable this feature using these steps in your iPhone:
1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone, and go to General and then Accessibility.
2. Now, tap on Display Accessibility and select the Invert Colors button from the menu.
3. Turn on the Smart Invert option available on the screen.
However, there are chances of using complete Dark Mode feature in the coming iOS 13.
Conclusion
Dark mode is a great option to dim most of the screen elements in your devices. It is a perfect solution for the ones who usually work in the night. Using these methods, you can easily use dark mode in your Smartphone or Windows/Mac computer.
